In 2006 I dropped the anglicized pseudonym I had used for 35 years and returned to the Russian Jewish surname of my birth.
In 2009 I joined a synagogue for the first time in my life.
In 2010 I admitted to myself, then my friends and family, that I have spent my life hungering for God.
